Daily Nectar Essentials founder, Stephanie McBride (formerly Stephanie Pearson), is a passionate advocate for the use of essential oils as a form of natural self-care and in clinical practice, from the moment of conception on. Her 25 years of botanical medicine study, coupled with her clinical experience as a functional nutritionist and practical experience as a mother, provide the in-depth knowledge necessary to simplify an ancient health modality.
Stephanie is a health care professional, published author, educator, and mother of three. Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Stephanie earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon with a double major in Environmental Studies and English Literature. A love for volunteer work in sustainable agriculture and an internship in organic herb farming led her to pursue post-graduate studies in biology, chemistry, clinical herbalism, functional nutrition, and naturopathy. After five years of clinical practice, she shifted her focus to case study and research related to the use of essential oils during each phase of maternity and in infant care. Through her research and experience and with the collaboration of birth professionals she wrote two guidebooks, an e-course, and other materials related to the use of aromatherapy in childbearing.
