Family: Leguminosae (flowering plants) Source: Our Copaiba essential oil is sourced in Brazil from four species of the Copaiba tree to provide the most potent essential oil. Part of plant used for essential oil: Resin Extraction method: Steam distillation Main Chemical Constituents: Sesquiterpenes (up to 90%): β-catyophyllene (up to 52%), α and β-copaene, trans-α-bergamotene, α-cubebene, α-humulene, y- and β-elemene, β-cubebene Other: Cannabis contains around 30% caryophyllene (aka beta-caryophyllene). Copaiba contains upwards of 52%! Please look into caryophyllene to learn more about its powerful effects. PRECAUTIONS: May cause skin irritation in some with general or continued use. Heavier topical dilution and more moderate use recommended during pregnancy. Internal use GRAS but not for children under six.
